Structural Designer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Structural Designer to develop accurate structural drawings, models, and design documentation for building and engineering projects. The role involves translating structural concepts, engineering calculations, and project requirements into practical and detailed design solutions that meet safety, functionality, and construction requirements.

Key responsibilities include preparing structural plans, elevations, sections, details, layouts, and reinforcement drawings using relevant design and drafting software. The Structural Designer will work closely with structural engineers, architects, contractors, and other project teams to coordinate designs, resolve technical issues, incorporate revisions, and ensure structural information is clearly communicated.

The role also involves developing and modifying structural models, reviewing drawings for accuracy and consistency, preparing design documentation, and supporting design coordination throughout the project lifecycle. The Structural Designer is expected to follow applicable design standards, specifications, codes, and project requirements while maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Structural Design, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of structural design principles, construction methods, structural materials, and engineering drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with structural design or BIM software such as Revit, Tekla Structures, ETABS, SAP2000, or equivalent tools.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, engineering calculations, specifications, and technical documents.
• Good knowledge of reinforced concrete, steel structures, structural detailing, and construction practices.
• Ability to develop accurate structural plans, details, layouts, and technical drawings.
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Understanding of relevant structural codes, standards, and design requirements.
• Good communication and coordination skills when working with engineers, architects, contractors, and project teams.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple design and drafting requirements.
• Proactive and systematic approach with a strong commitment to accuracy, safety, and design quality.
• Willingness to learn new structural design technologies, software, and industry practices.
