Job Purpose:
Responsible for providing structural expertise and ensuring high-quality structural design, analysis, and coordination. The role involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams, overseeing design development, ensuring compliance with international codes, and supporting construction and project management teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop, review, and approve structural design concepts, calculations, and drawings for airport buildings, terminals, and supporting infrastructure.
- Ensure structural designs comply with international codes, local regulations, airport safety standards, and sustainability guidelines.
- Coordinate closely with architectural, MEP, civil, and project management teams to ensure seamless integration of structural solutions.
- Conduct design reviews, value engineering, and quality assurance checks at various project stages.
- Participate in stakeholder meetings, workshops, and client presentations to communicate structural design intent.
- Provide construction support, including clarifications, site instructions, and review of structural submittals.
- Monitor project progress against design schedules and budgets, reporting any risks or deviations to senior management.
- Mentor junior structural engineers and team members, promoting knowledge sharing and professional development.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in structural design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably airports or aviation facilities.
- Proven experience with mega airport projects, terminals, or aviation-related infrastructure is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of international building codes, structural analysis software, and BIM coordination (AutoCAD, Revit Structure, STAADPro, ETABS, SAP2000).
- Excellent communication, coordination, and project management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
