We are looking for a Structural Engineer to join our technical team in the events and exhibitions industry. The role involves designing, analyzing, and certifying temporary and semi-permanent structures for exhibitions, conferences, live events, and experiential installations.
This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced, creative environment while maintaining the highest safety and engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and validate structural systems for temporary event structures including exhibition stands, stages, platforms, trusses, rigging, and pavilions.
- Prepare structural calculations, drawings, and technical reports for approvals and third-party certification.
- Review architectural and shop drawings to ensure structural feasibility and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with local and international codes (Eurocodes, British Standards, Dubai Municipality, Civil Defense).
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and fabricators to optimize structural solutions and materials.
- Provide technical support during concept and tender stages.
- Coordinate with external consultants and certifying engineers for approvals and load checks.
- Conduct site inspections during build-up and dismantling to ensure safe installation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
- 35 years of relevant experience, preferably in events, exhibitions, temporary structures, or modular construction.
- Experience in the UAE or GCC is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of temporary works and event structures.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD, or similar).
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD ,Revit or Rhino.
- Good understanding of steel and aluminum structures.
