Structural Engineer Section Head

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage the development, review, and issuance of structural design deliverables, including

calculations, analysis models, design drawings, steel and concrete details, and related engineering

documents, in line with project requirements and approved standards.

• Supervise the section team in assigning tasks, reviewing outputs, and ensuring the quality, accuracy,

and timely completion of all structural engineering deliverables.

• Coordinate with civil, architectural, electrical, mechanical, and project management teams to ensure

proper integration of structural design requirements with overall project execution.

• Review structural calculations, design criteria, material specifications, shop drawing inputs, and

technical submittals to ensure compliance with client requirements, applicable codes, and company

procedures.

• Implement design control procedures, checking processes, and document review mechanisms to

maintain drawing accuracy, traceability, and compliance with quality standards.

• Support technical discussions with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors to resolve

design comments, technical clarifications, and coordination issues related to structural works.

• Monitor design schedules, section priorities, and workload allocation to ensure the timely release of

structural drawings, calculations, and engineering documents in line with project milestones.

• Review design changes, technical deviations, and engineering risks, and recommend practical

solutions that maintain structural safety, constructability, and cost efficiency.

• Coordinate the selection and verification of structural systems, materials, and interface requirements

to ensure compatibility, stability, and execution feasibility.

• Prepare and review technical reports, progress updates, and section performance indicators,

highlighting structural design status, constraints, and required corrective actions to management.

• Support tendering and pre-award activities by providing structural design inputs, quantity reviews,

technical clarifications, scope validation, and estimation support when required.

• Develop the technical capabilities of section staff through coaching, on-the-job guidance, and

knowledge sharing on structural design practices, standards, and lessons learned.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.

• AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit/BIM coordination tools.

• Strong command of design software, and related tools.

• Deep understanding of EPC project workflows, design integration, and multidisciplinary

coordination.
