About the Job:

Responsible for technical and operational supervision of Jack Up units, ensuring the units are maintained in safe condition, including their operating systems, procedures are well addressed and adhered to the unit crews and complied with, at all times.

Job Specific Accountabilities Part 1:

u00A0

u2022 Minimize Jack up unit downtime.
u2022 Maintain and improve operational capabilities of all designated Jack Up units
u2022 Maintain cost control through complying to budget threshold.
u2022 Ensure project deadlines are met in effective and efficient manner
u2022 Promote an incident free safety culture
u2022 Achieve 100% internal and external customer satisfaction
u2022 Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
u2022 Maintain JUM Class, compliance with ISM, statutory and local regulations
u2022 Systematic and scheduled Jack up unitsu2019 planned maintenance program.
u2022 Ensure compliance of units with IMS requirements
u2022 Recommend cost savings initiatives, without compromising on safety & integrity parameters
u2022 Monitor all class, flag and required certification for assigned Jack Up units and advise line management accordingly
u2022 Arrange class surveyors attending Jack Up units for statutory surveys and maintain Jack Up units to class standards
u2022 Ensure valid navigational licenses and security passes for the units and crew staff on board
u2022 Ensure technical compliance with local regulations and those defined in charter parties
u2022 Engage with management team to rectify and close out SDRu2019s in a timely manner

Job Specific Accountabilities Part 2:

Operational Plans
u2022 Contribute to consistent and realistic long- and short-term operational plans for the Department in line with the Division objectives and manage the implementation of the approved long- and short-term plans and ensure they are effectively converted into its performance objectives to realise the Division Objectives and established service levels.

Budgets and Operational Plans
u2022 Contribute to the Department annual budget in line with the Divisionu2019s business objectives and operational plans ensuring that adequate funding provision is made for all Department activities.
u2022 Monitor expenditure against approved Department budget on a regular basis investigate, highlight and reconcile any significant variances to ensure effective performance and cost control.

Minimum Requirements:


u2022 STCW III/2 Certificate of Competency or a Mechanical Engineering
u2022 Marine Engineer certification
u2022 At least 7 years of relevant experience
u2022 Proficient in English.
