The DC Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse and store distribution operations, ensuring accurate, timely, and cost-effective receipt, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of merchandise. The role ensures smooth store replenishment, inventory accuracy, team productivity, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities: -
Operations & Execution
Supervise daily DC/store warehouse operations including inbound, outbound, picking, packing, put-away, and dispatch.
Ensure timely and accurate store replenishment as per dispatch schedules and SLAs.
Monitor workflow and allocate manpower effectively to meet daily volume targets.
Coordinate with transportation, store teams, and planning teams to ensure seamless deliveries.
Inventory Management
Ensure accurate inventory control, cycle counts, and stock reconciliation.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, damages, shortages, and mismatches.
Maintain proper stock segregation (good stock, damages, RTV, etc.).
People Management
Lead, train, and motivate warehouse/store DC staff to ensure productivity and discipline.
Plan shift rosters, attendance, leaves, and overtime in line with workload.
Conduct daily briefings, performance tracking, and on-the-job training.
Process & Compliance
Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety guidelines, and company policies.
Maintain warehouse hygiene, 5S standards, and safe material-handling practices.
Support audits, loss prevention initiatives, and compliance checks.
Reporting & Coordination
Prepare and share daily operational MIS (inbound, outbound, backlog, shrinkage).
Escalate operational risks, delays, or capacity constraints proactively.
Work closely with planning, supply chain, and store teams to improve service levels.
Continuous Improvement
Identify process gaps and suggest efficiency improvements to reduce errors, delays, and costs.
Support implementation of system or process enhancements (WMS, handhelds, scanners, etc.).

Strong knowledge of warehouse & DC operations

Inventory control & accuracy
Problem-solving and decision-making
Basic computer skills (Excel, WMS, ERP)
Good communication and coordination skills
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or related field.
3-6 years of experience in warehouse/DC/store operations (retail or e-commerce preferred).
Prior experience handling store dispatches or replenishment is a plus.
