Description
We are hiring Fiber Civil Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate fiber optic cable laying activities (underground, duct, aerial, and building entry works).
- Ensure installation is carried out as per approved drawings, PIP, MOC/KIPIC standards, and project specifications.
- Monitor daily site progress and ensure adherence to project timelines.
- Conduct site inspections before, during, and after installation.
- Oversee trenching, duct laying, backfilling, manhole installation, and cable pulling operations.
- Supervise fiber splicing, termination, joint closure, and patch panel installation.
- Ensure OTDR testing, power meter testing, and continuity testing are properly conducted.
- Verify labeling, tagging, and documentation of fiber cores.
- Coordination with Main / Sub Contractor Civil contractor, MOC representatives
- Attend site meetings and provide technical updates.
- Ensure work permits and approvals are secured before execution.
- Ensure compliance with Kuwait Ministry of Communications (MOC) regulations.
- Enforce HSE policies and site safety standards.
- Conduct toolbox talks and daily safety briefings.
- Ensure proper PPE usage and safe cable handling practices.
- Prepare daily progress reports.
- Maintain material consumption records.
- Track manpower deployment and productivity.
- Submit as-built drawings and test reports.
- Report delays (e.g., construction conflicts, cable damage) with corrective action plans.
Qualifications
- Diploma / Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunications Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in fiber optic installation in Kuwait.
- Familiarity with MOC and refinery site requirements.
