Supervisor, Mechanical

JOB PURPOSE:

To supervise safe and efficient execution of maintenance program (preventive, corrective, breakdown, andpredictive maintenance) repair works for all Mechanical systems including static and rotating machineryequipment at respective Fuel Storage tanks & Distribution Depots/Terminals and LPG Plants. whilst ensuringoptimum utilization of manpower and material resources. In Addition, responsible for liaising with allstakeholders and other maintenance departments to ensure reducing the downtime of the critical systems atDepot/ Terminal and plant facilities in assigned region with fully comply with company AIPS and HSE standardsand procedures.

Job Specific Accountabilities:

Mechanical Maintenance Supervision

u2022 Supervises the service, repair and maintenance activities of all mechanical systems and equipmentincluding all pipelines, vessels, valves, transfer pumps, process facilities, air compressors, storage tanks,loading arms and hoses. Fire Fighting and deluge skids, to ensure that maintenance is carried out inaccordance with company standards, proper engineering and technical standards and HSE requirements.
u2022 Ensures all works are performed in accordance with ADNOC work management system (WMS)requirements including proper hazard evaluations of job safety analyses and risk assessment for specifictasks.
u2022 Ensure to follow the maintenance strategy and procedure for all the works during the execution.
u2022 Ensure all the HSECES work orders are completed with compliance and high reliability to meet thecompany AIPS KPIs.
u2022 Reviews all daily notifications and work orders received for any mechanical works as required with givenpriorities.
u2022 Coordinates with Maintenance Planning team for planning and scheduling for implementation of requiredrepair and maintenance works to avoid backlogs within grace period.
u2022 Coordinates with planners and end useru2019s supervisors during the YTT meetings for all alignment toexecute any repairs, replacement, modification, calibration, overhauling carried out by tradesmen toensure smooth progress of all works.

u2022 Manage to coordinate with inspection team in order to carry out regular routine and scheduled inspectionand maintenance of all mechanical equipment. Support to inspect equipment for signs of corrosion,assists in implementing anti corrosive/ protection techniques, maintains records and monitors conditioncontinually.
u2022 Ensures that all breakdowns in his area of responsibility are attended promptly and equipment is returnedto service as soon as possible.
u2022 Ensures downtime of equipment is minimized in order to provide maximum availability for operations.
u2022 Responsible to utilize technical expertise in providing troubleshooting of problems on a day-to-day basis.
u2022 Coordinates with Depot/ terminal Supervisors and LPG operations team on the status of facility,preventive and repair work scheduling, processing of work orders and safety work permits.
u2022 Handles administrative issues related to the PM & CM works like preparing and generating Work Orders,Release Orders. Initiate and invoices after completion of maintenance works (in-house or contracted).
u2022 Arranges spare parts for the Technicians to ensure work is executed with the necessary materials
u2022 Supervise and close Work Orders in the CMMS system with resources such as labour hours, materialsused and failure reports.
u2022 Regularly conduct a toolbox talk meeting with subordinate to reinforce ADNOC lifesaving rules andhighlight the risk associated during the work and mitigation plan.
u2022 Implement the fatigue management process to ensure the employee engagement and wellbeing for betterwork environment and moral boosting.
u2022 Witness the factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT) in the vendor or supplierpremises for new equipment testing and acceptance.
u2022 Liaise with procurement team and supplier to ensure spares availability by creating release orders andmaterial request with follow up until payment processing.

Continuous Improvement, reporting and analysis

u2022 Assists in establishing methods, controls and standards for the actual execution of maintenance work
u2022 Recommends improvements on work methods and keeps up to date with the latest work techniques andstandards. Also, in charge of all mechanical activities during plant shutdown.
u2022 Prepares total actual cost of works including manpower, equipment, spare parts, and daily work activities,daily over time of craft men, monthly work orders report and submit to Maintenance Planning Section.
u2022 Evaluates man hours and costs on individual, maintenance and modifications to ensure optimumutilisation of manpower and material resources in implementation of scheduled maintenance programs.

Contract Management

u2022 Prepares Scope of work for 3rd party works, inspects work done, and prepares completion certificates.
u2022 Coordinates 3rd Party work at site including for obtaining Permit to Work and ensures the conditions ofWork Permit is satisfactorily implemented.
u2022 Controls and monitors 3rd party contractors in the execution of contracts and Price Agreements. Conductsinspections to ensure safety and quality of work is maintained in line with stringent ADNOC Distributionstandards. Prepares report on annual Contractoru2019s evaluation.

Inventory Management

u2022 Reviews & monitors spare part inventory and recommends additional parts to be stocked and advises onminimum, maximum stock etc.

New Projects

u2022 Support Team leader in New Projectu201D and u201CModificationu201D proposals review, pre- commissioning /commissioning activities and conducting HAZOP, HSEIA, HAZID and Risk Assessments etc. as and when required.

Other

u2022 Responsible for coordinating with HSE, instructing and training Technicians & ensuring that job is carriedout in the safest way with the least risk possible.
u2022 Maintains records of all company assets at Depot/Terminals, LPG Plant in Al Ain and advises on conditionof assets for write-off and prepares technical report for any write-off applications.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

u2022 Diploma in Mechanical or equivalent

u2022 5 years experience in Mechanical Maintenancedepartment in Oil and Gas Industry or Petrochemical industry
