Job Description

Job Purpose:

  • To lead supplier development initiatives aimed at enhancing supplier capabilities, performance, and compliance with company standards. The role focuses on strengthening supplier relationships, improving quality, cost efficiency, and delivery performance, and ensuring a sustainable and reliable supplier base that supports the company's global procurement strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of supplier development strategies aligned with the company's procurement objectives.
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities and identify improvement opportunities in quality, cost, delivery, and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct supplier assessments, audits, and performance reviews to ensure compliance with company standards and contractual requirements.
  • Develop and monitor supplier performance metrics and improvement plans to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to identify potential suppliers and support supplier qualification and onboarding processes.
  • Work closely with quality, engineering, and production teams to resolve supplier-related technical or quality issues.
  • Lead supplier development programs, including training, process improvement initiatives, and capability building.
  • Support cost optimization initiatives by working with suppliers on value engineering and process improvements.
  • Ensure suppliers comply with regulatory, quality, environmental, and safety standards.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure long-term partnerships and supply continuity.
  • Prepare reports and analysis related to supplier performance, risks, and development initiatives.
  • Lead and guide the supplier development team to ensure effective execution of departmental objectives.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7 10 years of experience in procurement, supplier development, supply chain management, or strategic sourcing, with at least 23 years in a supervisory role.
