Versalya Pharma is an affiliate of the Italfarmaco Group, it was founded to expand the group's presence in Africa and the Middle East. In line with its commitment to addressing unmet medical needs, Italfarmaco has recently expanded into the rare disease (RD) space with a focus on Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD). This strategic entry marks a significant milestone for the company as it aims to contribute to the management of this severe neuromuscular disorder

Mission and Role

Working closely with our local distributors in GCC as well as the supply & production operations in Dubai & in Europe, you will report to the Head of RD BU & to the Supply & business support director to develop & oversee the supply and shipments planning to ensure consistent product availability across all our export markets. Acting as a liaison between the partners and the sales administration, you will ensure the excellence & performance of the physical flows and daily monitoring of the shipments.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Export & Demand Management:

Manage the end-to-end export & logistics flows of the portfolio from Europe to the regional customers

Oversee the preparation and submission of all shipping documentation, including Letters of Credit (LC)

Ensure all shipments comply with the incoterm & international trade regulations and pharmaceutical industry standards

Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping agents to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery

Ensure smooth execution of supply & distribution contracts by working with finance, production, and sales teams

Monitor and set up the forecast schedule, replenishment, and stock management

Establish reporting tools to manage flows, stocks, and supply levels

Update the Monthly Rolling Order Forecast & supply planning with partners

Insure & set up/continuous improvement of distribution flows

Expertise in the process of letter of credits covering product shipments

Streamline and monitor supply costs in coordination with controlling

Manage urgent & unexcepted project such as tenders and institutional activities

Monitor & establish KPI to insure efficacy & performance of shipments and stock inventory optimization as well as logistic cost containment

Business support Coordination:

Collaborate with the production and planning teams to align logistics and shipping schedules with production forecasting

Maintain and update accurate shipping and delivery forecasts to support inventory management and production planning

Coordinate with Regulatory teams to secure and manage the compliance and implementation of packaging material in coordination with the sales & Regulatory departments

Coordinate product changes related to new packaging or production changes or adding new SKU's following products launches

Support new flows creation with new partner as well as the compliance of the supply terms in the distribution agreements.

Candidate Profile:

Experienced supplier within the pharmaceutical industry

Knowledge of MENA and focus on GCC is a significant advantage

Knowledge of Rare disease product and business is a plus

Use to implement physical & financial flow and address supply agreements implementation

Ability to work in a multicultural environment

Proactive and self-motivated / Independent / Strong organizational and prioritization skills

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in logistics flows and logistics concepts

Use to monitor a continuous and heavy shipping flow by sea & air in an autonomous manner

Must have = Direct handling of Letter of Credits

Experience managing pharmaceutical products and their regulatory constraints. MS-Office software and SAP modules (MM, SD, and Data-Warehouse)

Stock management + forecasting tools such as SAP / Investigator or similar

Use to work with 3PL's

Additional Information:

Contract: Permanent / Full-time

Experience: 6-7 years minimum

Education: Qualification / master's in supply & logistics

Languages: French and English (bilingual), Arabic would be a strong asset

Good network in Middle East

Pro-active and can-do attitude

Good organization and planning ability

Flexibility and adaptation skills in a multicultural environment
