Job Description

BBM Foods a growing food distribution company specializing in premium fresh produce and other quality food products. We serve the food service and wholesale with a commitment to consistency, quality, and value. As we expand, we are looking for a driven Sales & Business Development Executive. We are looking for a Purchasing / Supply Chain Executive to support our sourcing operations, maintain strong supplier relationships, and ensure seamless product availability across our network. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in handling perishable food categories, international procurement, and demand planning

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Source and purchase fresh and frozen food products from approved suppliers across multiple origins.
  2. Manage daily purchasing activities, including price negotiations, order placement, and shipment follow-ups.
  3. Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, warehouses, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery.
  4. Monitor inventory levels and align purchases with sales forecasts and demand trends.
  5. Review and validate documentation such as invoices, health certificates, CoA, packing lists, BL/AWB, and import requirements.
  6. Work closely with QC and operations teams to ensure product quality and specifications are met.
  7. Track market trends, seasonal availability, and price movements to support buying decisions.
  8. Maintain accurate records, purchase reports, and supplier performance dashboards.
  9. Identify and onboard new suppliers to strengthen product range and supply continuity.
  10. Resolve delivery delays, shortages, and quality issues promptly to protect supply reliability.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or related field.
  2. Minimum 24 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain, preferably in food distribution, produce, meat, or seafood.
  3. Strong understanding of import processes, cold chain logistics, and perishable product handling.
  4. Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  5. Strong analytical ability with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and purchasing/ERP systems.
  6. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  7. High attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
  8. Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts efficiently.
