Role Purpose:
The role is responsible is responsible for overseeing and optimizing end-to-end supply chain and logistics operations, including vendor governance, warehouse management, inventory control, demand planning and logistics coordination. The role ensures efficient, compliant, and cost-effective supply chain operations while supporting business continuity, service quality, and strategic growth objectives.
Key Accountabilities & Activities:
Supply Chain & Vendor Governance:
- Establish and manage a standardized vendor onboarding, evaluation, and compliance framework.
- Ensure vendor registration, documentation, and approvals comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct due diligence, background checks, and compliance validation for all new and existing vendors.
- Monitor and evaluate vendor performance using predefined KPIs (quality, delivery timelines, service levels, compliance).
- Lead periodic vendor audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Warehouse & Inventory Management:
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, dispatching, and documentation.
- Ensure proper organization, labeling, and layout of warehouse areas for efficient product identification and movement.
- Implement and enforce warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliations, and system controls.
- Optimize inventory levels to balance service requirements and working capital efficiency.
Logistics & Distribution:
- Oversee freight forwarding coordination, ensuring timely receipt, customs clearance, and accurate documentation for inbound and outbound shipments.
- Ensure compliance with customs, trade, and transportation regulations.
- Monitor logistics costs and identify opportunities for cost optimization and service improvement.
Performance and Governance:
- Define and track KPIs for supply chain, logistics, warehouse operations, and vendor performance.
- Prepare regular performance reports and dashboards for management review.
- Identify operational risks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Leadership and Development:
- Lead, coach, and develop supply chain, logistics, and warehouse teams.
- Conduct training sessions on safety, operational procedures, and compliance standards.
- Ensure alignment with company objectives and support change management during process transitions.
Education and Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certifications (CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent) preferred.
Necessary Knowledge and Experience:
Minimum 8 years of experience in supply chain, vendor management, or operations management.
