Job Purpose
The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's end-to-end supply chain operations. Ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of supply chain processes, support business goals, and deliver customer satisfaction through cost-effective strategies and timely delivery of materials and products
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business goals.
- Forecast demand, plan production schedules, and optimize inventory levels
- Manage relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and evaluate supplier performance to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure cost-effective deals and long-term partnerships.
- Evaluate and select reliable suppliers while ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Oversee the logistics network to ensure smooth and timely distribution of products.
- Oversee inventory levels to ensure adequate stock while minimizing holding costs.
- Collaborate with transportation providers to optimize shipping routes and reduce costs.
- Implement inventory optimization techniques and manage inventory accuracy.
- Identify, analyze, and monitor areas for process improvement and implement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency.
- Monitor potential risks in the supply chain and implement mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for seamless distribution processes.
- Develop and manage the supply chain budget.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with legal, environmental, and safety regulations across the supply chain.
- Work collaboratively with other departments such as production, sales, and finance to ensure alignment and resolve issues promptly.
- Lead and mentor the supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide developmental opportunities.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate regular reports on supply chain performance.
- Utilize data analytics to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, or a related field.
Experience:
10+ Years of experience (3-5 in managerial level)
