Role & Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on experience with ESG and climate-related risk assessments, reporting, and strategy development.
  • Familiarity with international ESG and climate frameworks including TCFD, ISSB, GRI, IFRS S1/S2, CSRD, EU and regional Taxonomies.
  • Support clients in developing and implementing Sustainability and decarbonization strategies, including net-zero pathways, carbon footprint assessments, and climate scenario analysis.
  • Ability to conduct double materiality assessments, Sustainability maturity diagnostics, and stakeholder mapping.
  • Experience in preparing ESG disclosures and sustainability reports aligned with regulatory and voluntary reporting standards.
  • Knowledge of regulatory ESG/climate disclosure requirements in Saudi Arabia, UAE, and other GCC markets (e.g., SAMA, CMA, Tadawul ESG guidelines).
  • Collaborate on projects involving climate stress testing, physical and transition risk modelling, and sustainable finance advisory.
  • Stay up to date on global climate policy developments, ESG ratings methodology, and sector-specific transition risks.
  • Support the implementation of Sustainability/climate data management tools, KPIs, dashboards, and digital platforms.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience.
  • Strong understanding of ESG/climate issues in the GCC financial sector, including:
  • Banking: ESG integration in lending, green bonds, climate risk in credit decisions.
  • Non-Banking: ESG compliance in real estate, energy, public infrastructure, and supply chains.
  • Biodiversity & Nature: TNFD and other related reporting disclosures.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Climate Policy, Sustainability, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
  • Certifications such as CFA ESG, GARP SCR, SASB FSA, GRI, or climate-related professional designations are an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage ESG projects, draft client deliverables, and present findings to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and climate data or ESG analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SBTi tools, GHG Protocol platforms).
