Role Description

The Sustainability and Environmental Consultant will play a key technical role in delivering environmental studies and green building certification projects, while also supporting client engagement and business development activities. The role focuses on hands-on technical delivery, coordination of certification requirements, and development of high-quality sustainability documentation for buildings and developments.

Responsibilities include leading and supporting green building certifications such as LEED, WELL, and Estidama, conducting environmental and sustainability assessments, preparing technical reports and calculations, and supporting energy efficiency, carbon footprinting, and building-level decarbonization studies. The consultant will engage directly with clients, contribute to proposals and technical inputs for bids, support client presentations, and identify opportunities for follow-on work and repeat engagements.

The role requires strong technical expertise, the ability to manage multiple workstreams, and confidence in client-facing and commercial discussions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in environmental consulting, green building certifications, or building sustainability advisory.
  • Strong hands-on experience with green building rating systems, particularly LEED.
  • Good understanding of building environmental performance including energy, water, materials, waste, and indoor environmental quality.
  • Experience in energy efficiency assessments, carbon footprinting, and decarbonization strategies for buildings.
  • Strong technical writing and presentation skills with experience delivering client-ready outputs.
  • Comfortable supporting proposals, client engagement, and business development activities.
  • Professional certifications such as LEED AP or WELL AP are an advantage.
