Role: Sustainability Officer
Industry: Glass Processing / Manufacturing
Salary: AED 8,000 – AED 11,000 per month + Accommodation
Responsibilities
- Lead and implement sustainability initiatives across factory and office operations with a focus on environmental responsibility and resource efficiency.
- Develop and monitor programs aimed at reducing energy consumption, water usage, and environmental impact per unit of production.
- Track and report sustainability metrics, environmental performance indicators, and improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, sustainability standards, and relevant government guidelines.
- Coordinate with government authorities, NGOs, and industry bodies to stay updated on sustainability regulations and best practices.
- Support the organization in obtaining sustainability certifications and maintaining environmental compliance documentation.
- Conduct sustainability audits and assessments across production facilities and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Train and engage employees to adopt environmentally responsible practices and participate in sustainability initiatives.
- Promote awareness and implementation of sustainable practices within factory operations and employee accommodation facilities.
- Represent the company in sustainability forums, industry discussions, and client engagements related to environmental initiatives.
- Work closely with operations teams to implement environmentally responsible processes within the manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in sustainability, environmental management, or resource efficiency programs within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, sustainability standards, and environmental compliance requirements.
- Experience in implementing sustainability initiatives such as energy efficiency, waste management, water conservation, or carbon footprint reduction.
- Familiarity with sustainability reporting, audits, and environmental performance tracking.
- Ability to coordinate with government authorities and external stakeholders on environmental matters.
- Strong communication and training skills to promote sustainability awareness among employees.
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments will be preferred; exposure to the glass processing industry will be an added advantage.
