Scope: Responsible for overseeing pool and spa construction projects from initial concept through to final handover.
Job Purpose:
To lead and manage the planning, construction, and commissioning of swimming pools and spas for residential, commercial, or hospitality projects. This role ensures quality, safety, and client satisfaction from initial concept through to final handover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership & Design Integrity:Provides expert review and approval of all technical documentation, including shop drawings, hydraulic schematics, and structural plans. Ensures seamless integration with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems and compliance with all relevant international and local building codes and safety standards (e.g., ANSI/APSP, BS EN).
- Project Management & Quality Assurance:Manages the entire project lifecycle, conducting rigorous site assessments, monitoring contractor performance, and implementing corrective actions to mitigate risks and maintain strict quality benchmarks and capability in managing multiple areas of work, as well as reporting skills.
- Stakeholder Management & Client Management:Serves as the key technical liaison for clients, architects, engineers, and contractors. Provides clear, regular communication, manages expectations, and delivers solutions that align with the client's vision and operational requirements.
- Commissioning & Operational Handover:Leads the critical testing, balancing, and commissioning phases to ensure all systems perform optimally. Facilitates a smooth project closure by preparing comprehensive handover documentation and providing essential training for the client's operational staff.
Key Qualifications:
- A degree inCivil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experiencein swimming pool and spa construction, with a proven track record in a consultancy or senior project management capacity.
- Deep expertise in pool hydraulics, filtration systems, waterproofing techniques, and modern spa technologies.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software, includingAutoCADandMS Project; familiarity withBIMis highly desirable & pool design software.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with certifications such asCertified Pool Operator (CPO)considered a strong asset.
