Job Description

Job Summary:

The Syndicated Loans Operations role is responsible for the execution of providing agency and security trust support for the Bank's syndicated, Project Finance, Structured, Debt Capital Markets and other lending activities under the Debt & Structured Financed Sector. The job holder assists in the implementation of laid out policies and procedures for this function.

Job Responsibilities:

Assist in the opening of bank accounts for receipt of all funds related to the facility and making the funds available to the borrower as per agreed terms and conditions.

Support the process of on-boarding new transactions through the required procedures.

Monitor accounts and ensure that all principal and interest payments are made as required and distributed to the respective lenders accordingly.

Check the validity of confirmed copies of legal documentation to identify compliance and reporting obligations required for monitoring through the life of the facility, ensuring full loan covenant compliance and adherence to all terms and conditions of the respective deals.

Monitor loan covenants, implementation of structure, and detection of possible events that may lead to default.

Assist in communicating to all borrowers and lenders confirming completion of Conditions Precedent.

Assist in the coordination of interactions with other parties such as Treasury, Origination, other Banks, Technical Advisers, Insurance providers, Lawyers, and Loan Administration regarding the facility.

Administer payment and settlement issues, including ensuring that borrowers adhere to repayment procedures and addressing situations where there are defaults.

Assist in the management of all secondary trades and the receipt of transfer certificates.

Coordinate the receipt and payment of invoices for all professionals on the team (Lawyers, Valuers, Technical Advisers, etc.).

Check that all security documents are provided in accordance with agreed terms and have been properly perfected.

Maintain and monitor loan security and perform periodic reporting as required under the Bank's policies.

In case of default, assist in the implementation of enforcement as required under the Bank's policies and procedures and in accordance with instructions from the majority Lenders.

Upon expiration or cancellation of a facility, ensure that all outstanding amounts of principal, interest, and fees are claimed and settled, and that any security is released and communicated to all relevant parties.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Fresh graduate, preferably upon completion of a recognized Credit Course.
  • Minimum 37 years of banking experience, with strong and proven credit experience.
  • Completion of a Credit Course is mandatory.
  • Professional certifications or postgraduate qualifications such as CFA, MBA, or PhD are considered a plus.
