System And Database Administrator - Saudi only

Job Summary:

Database Administrator (DBA) skilled in managing, maintaining, and optimizing a variety of database systems including Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and others. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring database availability, security, performance, backup/recovery, and capacity planning across all database platforms used by the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain database systems including Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and others.

Monitor database performance and tune queries, indexes, and server parameters for optimal performance.

Design and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.

Manage database security including user accounts, roles, permissions, and auditing.

Perform database patching, upgrades, and migrations as required.

Troubleshoot database issues and resolve them efficiently to minimize downtime.

Plan and implement high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions across multiple database platforms.

Automate routine database administration tasks using scripts and tools.

Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams to support application requirements and compliance needs.

Manage database storage, capacity planning, and resource allocation.

Document database environments, processes, and best practices.

Stay current with emerging database technologies and recommend improvements.

Strong troubleshooting skill in windows and Linux.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

3+ years of hands-on experience managing multiple types of databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).

Strong understanding of database architectures, backup/recovery, security, and performance tuning.

Experience with database tools such as Oracle RMAN, SQL Server Management Studio, MySQL Workbench, pg. Admin, or equivalents.

Familiarity with scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or PowerShell.

Knowledge of high availability and replication technologies (Oracle RAC, Always on Availability Groups, MySQL Replication, etc.).

Experience with database monitoring tools and query optimization techniques.

Ability to troubleshoot complex databases and query-related issues.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
