About the Role
As a System Engineer, you will play a vital role in managing, maintaining, and optimizing the company's IT infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the systems are secure, efficient, and meet the company's evolving business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and related hardware and software.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime.
- Manage system security measures including backups, firewalls, and antivirus protection.
- Collaborate with development and IT teams to support project and operational requirements.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations and procedures.
- Perform regular system updates, upgrades, and patch management.
- Identify opportunities to optimize IT infrastructure and recommend improvements.
- Ensure compliance with internal security policies and industry best practices.
Who You Are
- Proven experience as a System Engineer, Systems Administrator, or a similar role.
- Solid understanding of server management, network administration, and security protocols.
- Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
