Job Description

Job Purpose

The Talent Officer is responsible for supporting talent management initiatives and grading processes to ensure internal equity, role clarity, and alignment with organizational structure and compensation frameworks. The role ensures consistency in grading methodologies while supporting workforce planning, performance management, and organizational development strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Job Evaluation & Grading

  • Conduct comprehensive job analysis and evaluate roles using the company's approved grading methodology.
  • Review new and existing job descriptions to ensure accurate role classification and grading alignment.
  • Conduct job analysis and prepare detailed job descriptions.
  • Review and evaluate roles using approved grading methodologies.
  • Ensure grading consistency and alignment with compensation structure.
  • Participate in job evaluation committees where required.
  • Support organizational restructuring initiatives and workforce planning exercises.
  • Maintain job architecture and grading records.

Talent Management

  • Support the implementation of talent management frameworks, including succession planning and workforce development.
  • Maintain talent pipelines and internal mobility records.
  • Assist in identifying high-potential employees and development needs.
  • Coordinate performance calibration processes with department heads.
  • Support learning and development planning aligned with talent assessments.
  • Maintain accurate talent databases and reporting dashboards.

Compensation & Structure Support

  • Ensure internal equity and role alignment across departments.
  • Assist in salary benchmarking and market comparison studies.
  • Provide analytical support for grading recommendations.
  • Support policy updates related to grading and job classification.

Reporting & Governance

  • Prepare periodic talent and grading reports for management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and governance standards.
  • Maintain documentation for audit and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 35 years of experience in Talent Management, Job Evaluation, or HR Operations.
  • Experience with job grading frameworks and organizational design.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and evaluation skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong reporting and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in HR systems and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
