Responsibilities:
- The tax team advises on the tax aspects of domestic and international transactions, including: Structured real estate transactions
- M&A, joint ventures, and corporate reorganisations
- Funds (including hedge, debt, real estate, and other asset classes)
- International tax structures and cross-border planning
- Structured finance and capital markets
- Insolvency, workouts, and restructuring
- VAT and other indirect tax issues
Qualifications:
- Broad corporate tax experience gained at a City firm or large regional practice
- Exposure to real estate tax and taxation of corporate transactions (advantageous but not essential)
- Additional experience in fund taxation or taxation of financial transactions is welcome
- Strong commercial awareness and intellectual curiosity
- Confidence in engaging directly with clients
- Ability to work independently while recognising when input is required
- Willingness to challenge conventional thinking
- Clear, concise communication skills
- Adaptability and a flexible approach to workload
