Job Description

Title: Tax & Digital Transformation Manager

Department: Finance

Location: Riyadh

Core Responsibilities:

  • Experienced in Banking & Financial Services professional with strong expertise in VAT advisory, banking system implementation, process automation, and large-scale transformation projects. The role involves leading tax technology initiatives, system automation, regulatory compliance, and banking system integrations, including merger-related projects.
  • Drives enhancements and interventions on internal controls and processes related to financial control, financial reporting and accounting activities. Keeps abreast of changes in regulatory and financial reporting strategy by regulatory bodies in the industry.
  • Leads regular quarterly meetings with tax external tax advisors/consultants to assess and resolve tax/Zakat issues, driving performance of consultants to resolve matters in a favorable and timely manner and to ensure that issues relating to underlying process deficiencies are identified and resolved. Support e-invoicing implementation in compliance with local regulations and enhancement in system process reporting and reconciliation.

Prepare and review (for Tax projects):

  1. Business Requirement Documents (BRD)
  2. GAP Assessment & Impact Assessment documents
  3. System design and solution architecture
  4. Review system-specific documents prepared by IT/vendors
  5. Design and implement automation solutions that improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
  6. Defining project scope, objectives, and timelines
  7. Coordinating with internal teams and third-party vendors
  8. Ensuring technical feasibility and on-time delivery
  9. Test scenario preparation
  10. UAT coordination and post go-live reviews

  • Leads regulatory financial reporting development projects, e.g. restructured of the Banks's products, new SAMA reporting framework and ZATCA's updates.
  • Provides guidance on all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to shareholders, and reports for government regulatory agencies.
  • Conducts quarterly Financial Control and Banking Supervision meetings to maintain awareness of agenda, changes and strategic directions of SAB.
  • Liaises with key regulatory bodies such as SAMA, CMA and ZTACA to ensure alignment of Financial Control policies and practices to the regulators and standards.
  • Provide strategic advice across a variety of financial control functions to support achieving Financial Control strategic objectives.
  • Conducts regular semi-annual meetings between CFO and General Authority of Zakat and Tax to discuss developments in tax and Zakat rules, and specific SAB tax/Zakat issues.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • +5 years of experience in a relevant role.
  • Prior experience working in TAX.
