Team Leader, Electrical Maintenance

JOB PURPOSE

Manage all electrical maintenance activities in the plant and provide expert engineering technical support to
ensure equipment availability and reliability and that distribution network of the plant are operational and
maintained in line with best world class practices and standards.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Job Specific:
u2022 Develop and maintain codes of practice, Electrical Maintenance policies, procedures and guidelines, in
compliance with corporate and ADNOC policies and standards to ensure consistent implementation.
u2022 Monitor and drive adherence to Maintenance Strategy, manuals, procedures by holding periodic
reviews to assess compliance and drive implementation as required
u2022 Manage Preventive, breakdown, corrective and general maintenance in an efficient and cost-effective
manner, arrange for long term and short term maintenance plans and coordinate major overhauls and
shutdowns of the assigned equipment to ensure availability and reliability.
u2022 Monitor and drive compliance for work request and Work order quality like Risk based work selection,
execution of jobs under proper PM category, data management/inputs,
u2022 Ensure timely replacements of capital equipment and arrange long and short term asset replacement
plan for all facility electrical equipment with focus on HSECES to maintain efficient operating conditions
and integrity.
u2022 Aligns with stakeholders like Reliability to ensure that HSE Critical Equipment and Systems (HSECES)
are maintained as per the HSECES performance standards and company requirements

u2022 Monitor and analyze failure reports, identify bad actors (RCA) and rectify the problems to initiate
corrective actions and develop solutions to improve performance. Identify equipment obsolescence
threats and develop recovery strategies to ensure timely action.
u2022 Advise and resolve any critical breakdown of Electrical equipment in plant operations area to ensure
safe operations.
u2022 Ensure electrical workshop activities for test equipment calibration, equipment repair and testing and
inspection of portable electrical equipment complying with all regulatory and corporate policies.
u2022 Propose, develop and implement Plant Change Requests (PCR) by conducting site engineering studies
to determine the feasibility of introducing modification to increase reliability and efficiency of plant.
u2022 Provide specialist/expert advice and liaison throughout project implementation to ensure safe and swift
integration of electrical tie-ins.
u2022 Ensure study of all related technical and safety alerts to avoid re-occurrence at facility and advise
technical and safety alerts relevant to facility. Issue and update facility Electrical Safety Rules (ESR) to
ensure safe handling of all fixed and portable electrical equipment.
u2022 Represent Plant in the power GRID of oil companies and ADWEA for power co-ordination, studies and
High Voltage switching activities.
u2022 Administer, control and monitor various contracts for services/manpower, follow-up on the performance
of contractors and recommendation of renewal or recruitment of new contractors, for effective
maintenance of the systems at optimum level.
u2022 Ensure the preparation of purchase requisitions and stores issue vouchers and provide approval as per
delegated authority.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Minimum Qualification
Skills
u2022 Technical knowledge of refining production operations and processes.
u2022 Experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of a wide range of power generators, HV/LV
switchgears, transformers, motors, UPS, and related electrical process plant equipment, material
handling equipment and associated control panels.
u2022 Excellent communication skills.
