Technical Interior Designer

We are seeking a Technical Interior Designer to join our Cairo office. The successful candidate will support the technical development and execution of interior design projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and coordination across all phases. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design Development & Documentation

Assist in the preparation of detailed design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and schedules.

Produce floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details to support design intent.

Coordinate with designers, architects, engineers, and consultants to integrate technical requirements.

Ensure all drawings and documents comply with codes, regulations, and industry standards.

2. Project Coordination

Support the preparation of project deliverables such as drawing packages, presentations, and reports.

Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback into technical documentation.

Monitor assigned tasks to ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.

3. Quality Control & Compliance

Review technical drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy and alignment with project objectives.

Contribute to quality control processes to maintain documentation standards and consistency.

4. Collaboration & Support

Work closely with senior team members to implement design intent and resolve technical challenges.

Provide support to junior designers in developing technical drawings and documentation.

Foster collaboration across project teams to ensure smooth workflow and coordination.

5. Sustainability & Innovation

Apply sustainable design principles in material selection and technical detailing.

Stay updated on design technologies, materials, and innovative practices to enhance project delivery.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field from a recognized institution.

46 years of professional experience in interior design with a technical focus.

Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite; familiarity with SketchUp and 3ds Max preferred.

Knowledge of building codes, construction processes, and technical standards.

Experience in residential, commercial, or hospitality projects is an advantage.

Ability to produce detailed technical drawings, including layouts, elevations, and sections.

Familiarity with UAE and international building codes and authority requirements.

Strong coordination and communication skills with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.

Knowledge of materials, finishes, lighting, and FF&E specifications.

Familiarity with rendering tools and BIM workflows is desirable.
