Technical Manager - cyber security

Role Description

Lead and manage cybersecurity operations and security engineering teams.

Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies, policies, and procedures.

Monitor security systems and respond to cybersecurity incidents and threats.

Ensure compliance with security standards, regulations, and best practices.

Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability management activities.

Oversee the implementation of security technologies such as SIEM, IAM, firewalls, and endpoint protection.

Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure secure system architecture.

Manage incident response and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders during security incidents.

Provide guidance, mentoring, and technical leadership to cybersecurity teams.

Prepare security reports and present security posture to senior management.

Qualifications

• Strong Analytical Skills to assess risks, identify vulnerabilities, and propose effective solutions
• Proven experience in Team Management with the ability to lead diverse teams and foster collaboration
• Technical Support expertise in resolving security-related issues for clients or internal systems
• Background in Research and Development (R&D) to innovate and advance cyber security techniques
• Proficiency in Project Management to plan, execute, and deliver projects effectively within timelines
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in relevant cyber security tools and frameworks
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are advantageous
• Prior experience in a similar role within the cyber security industry
