Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Technical Office Engineer located in Giza. The Technical Office Engineer will be responsible for preparing shop drawings, conducting quantity surveying, developing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and collaborating with civil and electrical engineering teams. The incumbent will contribute to the successful execution of projects by ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
Responsibilities
To handle drafting project shop drawings, as well as coordinate drawings between different disciplines and assist site engineers clarifying and resolving any technical problem that could arise during the construction caused by designs.
Study the project contract documents (time schedule, project design drawings, BOQ, etc.).
Prepare shop and coordination drawings (or composite drawings) based on the project's design drawings inaccurate with quality standard.
Coordinate with other trades to solve any conflict between various Engineering disciplines.
Update the shop drawing log before sending the shop drawing to the consultant for approval.
Study and prepare requests for information (RFIs) for all missing, unclear, conflicting, or other technical matters that may arise during construction.
Review sub-contractors shop drawings as well as outsourced shop drawings and coordinate their approval process with the project consultant.
Coordinate with Surveying Engineer to provide him all the information about land coordinates and any site measurement required.
Prepare material submittal in conjunction with material to be and approved by the consultant.
Qualifications
Civil Engineering Design and Civil Engineering skills
Experience in Planning and Stormwater Management
Ability to ensure civil engineering standards
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Shopdrawings experiance is a must
Computer proficiency: AutoCAD, Word and Excel are a must.
Very Good English language.
Possession of great work ethics, high degree of integrity and willingness to put in the hours whenever needed.
