Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Project Engineer | Technical Office at Division9
Key Responsibilities
Technical Office
1- Review all architectural and design drawings submitted by consultants
2- Maintain logs of pending issues and decisions taken on projects, following up with all related parties.
3- Issue architectural shop drawings to the site and gather feedback on drawing requirements.
4- Check drawings submitted by MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) teams to ensure coordination.
5- Coordinate detailed finish works between stakeholders.
6- Prepare all material submittals required for consultants.
7- Participate in project takeover upon completion.
8- Prepare technical closure package
9- Prepare 2D drawings and layouts for design development and coordination.
10- Develop 3D visualizations and renderings for project presentation and design clarification.
11- Assist in the preparation of conceptual and schematic design proposals.
12- Prepare mood boards to present design concepts, materials, colors, and finishes.
13- Assist in the preparation and coordination of FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) selections and documentation.
Tendering
1- Review tender documents to ensure all necessary data for pricing is available.
2- Issue RFQs for suppliers and subcontractors, including evaluation, negotiation, and analysis.
3- Review and analyze vendor/supplier options for supply and pricing.
4- Negotiate optimal pricing and supply contracts.
5- Maintain and update a list of suppliers with qualifications, delivery times, and potential future
developments.
6- Ensure timely completion of tasks, particularly in cases with strict deadlines (even beyond regular working hours).
7- Maintain organized records of tenders, quotations, contracts, purchase orders, and tender documents.
Procurement
1- Source, evaluate, and maintain an approved list of suppliers and subcontractors.
2- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve best value.
3- Issue purchase orders and work orders in coordination with management approval.
4- Follow up on procurement status, delivery schedules, and supplier commitments.
5- Prepare comparative tables
6- Prepare QS
7- Prepare financial closure packages
8- Coordinate with site and project teams to ensure materials and services are delivered as per project
timelines.
9- Monitor supplier performance, quality compliance, and delivery efficiency.
10- Ensure compliance with company procedures and internal procurement controls.
11- Prepare periodic reports on tender status, procurement progress, and cost tracking.
Qualifications
1- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
2- Minimum of 3 years of experience within fit-out or interior contracting companies.
3- Strong communication skills and follow-up abilities.
4- Organized with excellent follow-up skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
5- Strong analytical and negotiation skills and technical support expertise.
6- Good team management abilities.
7- A solid database of suppliers and contractors.
8- Strong knowledge of fit-out materials, finishes, suppliers, and subcontractor trades.
9- High attention to detail and cost control.
10- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities under pressure.
11- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), AutoCAD.
12- Good command of English
