Position Summary
Responsible for electrical shop drawings, BIM modeling, material approvals, engineering coordination and technical support for LV/ELV electrical systems within building projects.
Responsibilities
Design & Technical
- Review IFC drawings and tender documents.
- Prepare electrical shop drawings for:
- Power systems
- Lighting
- Cable routing
- Earthing & Lightning
- Low current (ELV)
- Develop electrical BIM models using Revit
- Perform clashes & coordination using Navisworks
Procurement & Materials
- Prepare and submit electrical material submittals
- Review vendor quotations technically
- Ensure compliance with international standards & project specs
Coordination
- Coordinate with:
- Mechanical team
- Civil and architectural
- Draftsmanship team
- Site execution
- Follow consultant comments and close-out documentation
Documentation
- Prepare reports, schedules and tracking logs such as:
- Material status
- RFI status
- Drawings status
- Prepare installation method statements
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering
- 35 years experience in MEP contracting
- Strong background in LV ELV and light current systems
- Experience with BIM tools (Revit, Navisworks)
- Familiar with NEC, BS, IEC electrical standards
Skills
- Strong AutoCAD & Revit experience
- Navisworks clash detection
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Understanding of project life cycle
Familiar with construction site installation requirements
