Job Description

Position Overview:

The Technical Office Engineer will handle design reviews, shop drawings, material submittals, and project documentation for retail and fit-out projects. The role requires strong technical and coordination skills to support the execution team.

Role Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation.

- Coordinate with the site team to ensure design accuracy and resolve technical issues.

- Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.

- Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, and project schedules.

- Participate in value engineering solutions for cost optimization.

- Coordinate with consultants, clients, and subcontractors for approvals.

- Maintain organized project documentation and records.

- Assist in project planning and monitoring progress.

- Complies with local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.

- Contributes team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

- Studying project specs and all client requirements.

- Prepare full technical offers to match consultant/client requirements.

- Prepare material submittal documents and follow up on its approval.

- Prepare as-built drawings at the end of the project.

- Prepare Shop drawings and technical submittals.

- Prepare RFI's for all missing information and data.

- Ability to review vendors and select proper material suitable for project.

- Prepare technical proposals by reviewing tender documents/ drawings, prepare technical offers.

- Pre-resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems at the site that may arise at any time.

- Utilize software skills in enhancing work quality and presentation.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in architecture.

- 46 years of experience in retail and fit-out projects.

- Strong technical background in drawings, specifications, and construction standards.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Skills:

- Strong analytical and technical skills.

- Excellent coordination and communication abilities.

- Time management and ability to handle multiple tasks.

- High accuracy and attention to detail.

- Ability to work collaboratively with the site and project teams.
