Job Purpose:
To lead a team of Technical Office Engineers, Quantity Surveying Engineers, Material Engineers to review the project's design drawings, in order to implement the shop drawing designs, quantity surveying systems and material management systems and procedures.
Tasks, Roles & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with procurement, purchasing, subcontractors and suppliers after arrangement with Site Manger.
- Manage the technical office team in performing delegated tasks.
- Follow up /Review the project designs with consultant in order to prepare project shop drawing to highlight any deviation with the code/standards.
- Manage shop drawing team and design offices to produce project's shop drawings in a timely and accurate manner and getting consultant approval.
- Follow up with project consultant the effective cycle of approvals for shop drawing and Material submittals.
- Review As-Built drawings and manuals
- Communicate with the project team and manage the preparation of the updated reports to project manager
- Coordinate with Site Manager and project control Manager under project Manager direct supervision to set an effective work procedure, work priorities and suitable resources allocation.
- Solve problems, identify and eliminate unwanted costs, while improving function and quality.
- Review Client's invoice.
- Manage and support with HR team the indirect labors and make sure that is not exceed the project budget according to OD approved indirect wages manpower.
- Lead and direct coordination process to resolve a conflict prior to installation.
- Attend progress meetings with consultant and client.
- Coordinate all technical matters between engineering, construction, procurement and subcontractors in order to solve any potential problems.
- Manage Quantity Surveying team in the issuance of bill of quantities, payment approvals and change orders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure an effective material management process relating to, submittals approval process, control, storage and distribution of materials according to the projects needs
- Explore, enforce and manage value engineering and seek client approval
- Manage design changes and communicate information with other departments
- Documents technical lesson learned and share it with other departments
- Perform periodic performance appraisals for line reports and other staff
- Ensure adherence to technical office policies and procedures through continuous review to the project contracts, terms and conditions, time schedule, review of design drawings and owner/consultant's bill of quantities (BOQ).
- Support planning and cost control departments in monitoring monthly construction progress.
- Support Contract Administrators in preparing any technical/cost claims with sufficient information about any variation orders.
- Coordination of preparation and submittals of as-built drawings and O&M Manuals.
MINIMUN QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor degree of Engineering
- 15+ years of total work experience.

- Preferable PRMG or PMP or MBA.
