Job Description
Develop and manage the entire manufacturing process: material selection, material treatments, work-holding, machining, finishing processes, etc.
Develop and manage documents that drive the manufacturing process: drawings, models, assemblies, work instructions, etc.
Provide engineering recommendations to management and guide product development for manufacturability.
Prepare all the complete configuration documentation and oversee the management of configuration items.
Lead the development of new products or machines which includes CAD product design, tooling, estimating, prototype and production builds.
Design tooling, jigs, and fixtures using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Provide leadership and technical direction for manufacturing tasks and personnel.
Provide sustaining engineering support to manufacturing/fabrication.
Develop and validate new manufacturing processes tooling, jigs, and fixtures.
Manage engineering changes with product engineering on the introduction of new products.
Manage all engineers that design semi-custom commercial/industrial machinery equipment.
Apply DFM (Design for Manufacturability) tools and ensure DFM initiatives are supported during the design and build of prototype units.
Establish KPls per processes to assure the objectives are accomplished and prepare KPI reports to be presented to the operations manager.
Communicates with the operations manager about his expectations for manufacturing/fabrication facilities.
Oversees and manages with the operation manager every stage of the manufacturing/fabrication flow, from purchasing the raw materials to the delivery of the final product/service.
Desired Candidate Profile
Profile:
A bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline; Mechanical engineering is preferable; automotive engineering is strongly preferred.
Thorough understanding of plant engineering, industrial engineering, and tooling.
10+ years of experience in the engineering activities (design, planning, manufacturing,and budgeting) Of working in multinational industrial environments (automotive is preferable).
Experience working in and maintaining databases, a good understanding of SQL, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and basic programming skills.
Master is strongly preferred.
Superior project management and organizational skills, PMP is a plus Excellent Spoken and written command of the English language.
