Job Summary:

The Technical Office Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the preparation, coordination, and quality control of all technical drawings, shop drawings, and design documentation related to architectural and interior design projects. This role ensures alignment between design intent, execution, and project requirements while leading a team of technical engineers and draftsmen.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the technical office team, including architects, interior designers, and draftsmen.
  • Review and approve architectural and interior shop drawings, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications.
  • Coordinate between design, site, and project management teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Interpret design concepts and translate them into detailed technical drawings and execution plans.
  • Ensure all drawings comply with local regulations, codes, and client requirements.
  • Monitor drawing production timelines and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Resolve technical issues and provide guidance during all project phases.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on drawings and documentation before submission.
  • Liaise with consultants, contractors, and suppliers for technical clarifications.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide technical input and solutions.
  • Maintain proper documentation, version control, and drawing logs.
  • Support value engineering and cost optimization initiatives without compromising design quality.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
  • 8–12+ years of experience in architectural/interior technical office roles.
  • Minimum 2–4 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong experience in shop drawings, IFC drawings, and detailed design packages.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.
  • Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, and construction detailing.
  • Solid understanding of local building codes and standards.
  • Excellent coordination and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
