Job Description

  • Role: Technical Program Manager II
  • Location: 100% Remote (Global)
  • Compensation: USD 100125 per hour

About the Role

A leading technology organization is seeking a Technical Program Manager II to oversee program execution across systems and application initiatives. This role requires strong cross-functional coordination, risk management expertise, and the ability to manage complex projects within defined scope, quality, time, and budget constraints.

The ideal candidate brings experience operating within large-scale, multi-platform environments and is comfortable engaging with both executive leadership and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

Program & Project Execution

  • Manage program delivery within scope, quality, timeline, and budget constraints
  • Lead project scope definition, requirements gathering, documentation, and estimation
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and launch plans
  • Track milestones, deliverables, and overall execution progress

Risk & Issue Management

  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks
  • Implement contingency planning and mitigation strategies
  • Escalate unresolved blockers to appropriate leadership to maintain momentum
  • Track defects, feedback items, and ensure closure before launch

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Oversee internal and matrixed teams, including contractors
  • Facilitate complex issue resolution across multiple organizational levels
  • Build strong partnerships with business stakeholders and technical teams
  • Ensure clear communication across executives, partners, and delivery teams

Reporting & Governance

  • Maintain accurate and consistent progress reporting
  • Monitor budgets and resource allocation
  • Drive accountability through structured follow-ups and execution tracking

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in project estimation, scheduling, and tracking
  • Strong background in customer engagement and stakeholder management
  • Demonstrated ability to manage teams and support team development
  • Experience delivering technology and business application solutions in large-scale environments
  • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Strong risk assessment and issue management capabilities
  • Ability to quickly understand complex business processes
  • Excellent communication, organization, and prioritization skills

Work Environment

  • Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite in Bellevue, WA
  • Fast-paced, multi-project environment
  • High visibility across business and technical leadership
