Role Overview
We are seeking a customer-facing mechanical engineer with strong experience in maintenance and spare parts (MRO) to join our commercial team in Abu Dhabi.
This is not a traditional field support role. It is a commercially oriented engineering position focused on identifying, developing, and converting spare parts opportunities within large industrial customers.
You will work directly with maintenance, reliability, and operations teams, helping them solve real-world spare parts challenges across equipment such as:
- Pumps
- Valves
- Compressors
- Rotating equipment
Your role is to translate these challenges into manufacturing and revenue opportunities, supporting Immensa's Digital Inventory programmes and driving measurable commercial outcomes.
You will operate at the intersection of engineering, maintenance, and sales, acting as a trusted advisor to customers while contributing directly to account growth.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Engagement & Technical Credibility
- Build strong working relationships with maintenance, reliability, and engineering teams within customer organisations
- Engage directly with operational stakeholders to understand spare parts challenges and failure risks
- Provide practical, engineering-led insights into maintenance and spare parts strategies
Opportunity Identification & Development
- Identify spare parts across pumps, valves, compressors, and rotating equipment suitable for digital inventory and on-demand manufacturing
- Proactively uncover upcoming maintenance events, risks, and replacement needs
- Translate technical discussions into qualified commercial opportunities
- Work closely with Account Directors to prioritise and develop high-value opportunities
Commercial Contribution
- Support conversion of opportunities into manufacturing orders and contract utilisation
- Contribute to account revenue targets and growth objectives
- Engage customers on value propositions, timelines, and practical implementation
- Help drive adoption of Digital Inventory across customer sites and assets
Technical Coordination
- Work with Immensa's engineering and operations teams to assess feasibility of parts
- Translate customer requirements into manufacturable specifications
- Coordinate technical discussions between customer teams and internal specialists
Account Development Support
- Provide ongoing visibility into customer maintenance priorities and spare parts demand
- Support expansion of Digital Inventory programmes across multiple sites or business units
- Strengthen Immensa's position as a trusted partner within operational teams
Ideal Background
- 510 years experience in mechanical engineering, maintenance, reliability, or field applications roles
- Strong hands-on understanding of MRO environments and spare parts management
- Practical experience with equipment such as:
- Pumps
- Valves
- Compressors
- Rotating equipment
- Experience working with or within ADNOC or similar Middle East energy operators is highly preferred
- Experience in customer-facing roles, such as:
- Field Sales Engineer
- Applications Engineer (commercial focus)
- Technical sales / MRO / spare parts roles
Commercial Experience (Required)
- Demonstrated ability to build customer relationships and influence purchasing decisions
- Experience contributing to or supporting sales targets, revenue generation, or order conversion
- Comfortable discussing commercial topics including pricing, lead times, and value
- Proven ability to convert technical discussions into tangible business outcomes
