Designation: Technical Sales Manager (Advanced NDT)

Job Objective:

  • To develop and maintain excellent relationships with new and existing clients to promote the SSI business including Repair and Rental Services portfolio.
  • To work with the team to ensure customer satisfaction and continued business relationships with the customer.
  • To identify and diversify the SSI NDT Conventional & Advanced NDT Inspection business.
  • To grow the current business revenue in line with budget and strategic plans.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Searching for new NDT clients who will benefit from company products or services and maximizing customer potential in designated regions.
  • Traveling to visit potential clients and register the company into the vendors list.
  • Managing and interpreting customer requirements - speaking with clients to understand, anticipate and meet their needs; Make clients aware of services portfolio to maximize enquiries/orders.
  • Produce costing sheet and set appropriate price levels and approve the quotation prior to the submission to the customer.5. Upon receipt of customer purchase order verify against quotation and costing sheet. Approve purchase order to principals/suppliers in line with customer purchase order.
  • Rechecking client's PO to confirm profitability.
  • Follow up with client after quotation submission and convert to order.
  • Maximize margin by both negotiating with customers and suppliers on price.
  • Coordinate with logistics and finance team to ensure delivery, quality, inspection and payment of material is in line with the purchase order.
  • Follow up with client to ensure customer satisfaction for each purchase order
  • Recording and maintaining client contact data.
  • Negotiating tender and contract terms to meet both client and company needs;
  • Oversee the process for Service Quality issues, promptly liaising with clients to remedy the situation and ensure excellent customer service is maintained.
  • Visit prospective clients at commercial, industrial, or other establishments to show samples or catalogs, and to inform them about our Inspection services pricing, availability, and advantages.
  • Developing and growing good personal relationships with clients, technical partners and commercial team to make SSI the preferred service provider
  • Responsible for account receivable for clients.
  • Promote and prequalify new clients and follow up on pre-qualification submitted documents.
  • Identify technical partners with value added services to expand SSI inspection and asset integrity portfolio.
  • Supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events to keep up to date and maintain market and product awareness.
  • Persuading clients that our NDT service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery;
  • Negotiating and closing sales by agreeing terms and conditions;
  • Offering after-sales support services;
  • Administering client accounts;
  • Analyzing costs and sales;
  • Meeting regular sales targets;
  • Coordinating sales projects;
  • Liaising with other members of the sales team and other technical experts;
  • Develop sales plans to introduce Conventional and Advanced Inspection services in new markets.
  • Develop, present, or respond to proposals for specific customer requirements, including request for proposal responses and industry-specific solutions.
  • Keep informed on industry news and trends, products, services, competitors, relevant information about legacy, existing, and emerging technologies, and the latest product-line developments.
  • Document sales account activities, generate reports, and keep records of business transactions with customers and suppliers within the Oracle data base.
  • Provide reports to BU Manager in terms of weekly sales report.
  • Providing NDT technical support in clients location when necessary
  • Performing Advanced NDT Inspection in customers location when required as a start-up operation or support. 35. Sending out weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly Sales Report showing new wins/losses for SSI business

Ability & Skills:

  • Relevant service knowledge of Conventional and Advanced NDT Inspection
  • Excellent negotiator and communicator
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to build client relationships
  • Knowledge of drilling contractors

Experience:

  • Minimum of ten years experience in Conventional and Advanced NDT Inspection
  • Minimum of 10 years experience working in the UAE
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working directly with ADNOC
  • E&P's knowledge of registration process
  • Sales strategies
  • Provide technical Support to clients
  • Technical experience in any of the Oil and Gas Sector

Academic Qualifications:

  • Preferably Bachelor's degree in Engineering All streams OR relevant Sales/BD Degree
  • 5-10 years of Business Development/Technical Sales Experience in an Advanced NDT Inspection Service
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Applications, ERP

Accountabilities and Performance Measures:

  • Maximize sales and margin of SSI NDT Inspection services
  • Identify and develop clients to grow the SSI Conventional and Advanced NDT Inspection Services.
