Technical Trainer (Automotive Dealership)

Our diversified portfolio includes sectors such as Automotive, Retail, Healthcare, Hospitality, and Logistics. We are currently seeking Technical Trainerto join our Automotive Dealership division in Dubai.
Role Purpose:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Trainer to lead and deliver training programs across our automotive operations in Syria. This role is responsible for equipping technicians, service staff, and front-line employees with both technical skills (diagnostics, repair, maintenance, and systems training) and soft skills (customer service, communication, teamwork, and workplace professionalism).
The ideal candidate will be a bilingual automotive expert who can confidently train in Arabic, has a deep understanding of modern vehicle systems (mechanical and electronic), and can translate complex technical concepts into practical, engaging learning for diverse teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Training Delivery:
Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions for technicians, service advisors, and other automotive staff.
Deliver training in both Arabic, depending on audience needs.
Provide hands-on demonstrations and ensure knowledge transfer through practical assessments.
Content Development:
Design and customise training materials tailored to different roles and skill levels within the business.
Update and localise OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) training content to suit regional and cultural contexts.
Incorporate multimedia, technical manuals, simulations, and e-learning into the training process.
Skills Development:
Train on technical subjects such as: diagnostics, repair procedures, vehicle electronics, safety protocols, and use of diagnostic tools and workshop systems.
Train on soft skills including: customer handling, communication, teamwork, time management, and workplace ethics.
Support the professional development of front-line staff by integrating real-world scenarios into learning interventions.
Assessment & Evaluation:
Conduct pre- and post-training assessments to measure knowledge gain and skill acquisition.
Provide structured feedback to trainees and line managers.
Continuously evaluate training effectiveness and adjust content and approach as needed.
Operational Support:
Collaborate with workshop managers, service managers, and HR to identify training needs across the business.
Maintain training records, progress reports, and certification records.
Support onboarding of new technical employees and promote a continuous learning culture.
Quality & Compliance:
Ensure training aligns with industry best practices, brand standards, and local compliance requirements.
Monitor safety practices and reinforce safety-first culture during all technical training.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Certified Technical Trainer or Instructional Design qualification is an advantage.
Automotive OEM training certification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years&apos experience in the automotive industry, with at least 2 years in a training or coaching role.
Hands-on technical experience in a workshop or service center (diagnostics, maintenance, and repair).
Proven experience delivering soft skills training to front-line staff in a structured environment.
Experience working with multi-brand automotive dealerships is an advantage.
Other Requirements:
Willingness to travel across locations in Emerging Market.
Resilient, culturally sensitive, and adaptable to local market dynamics.
Strong administrative and reporting skills (MS Office, LMS systems preferred).
