Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Technology Architect position located in Riyadh. The Technology Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing complex technology infrastructures, including cloud environments, data centers, and enterprise networks. The role involves leading infrastructure modernization efforts, overseeing server and storage strategies, and ensuring high availability and disaster recovery compliance. A critical responsibility will be ensuring all infrastructure and cloud architectures are fully compliant with the NORA (National Overall Reference Architecture) framework and aligned with Saudi Arabia's specific regulatory data sovereignty requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience: 46 years of professional experience in IT Infrastructure, Cloud Architecture, or Data Center operations.
- Infrastructure & Cloud Architecture: Expertise in crafting scalable Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Hybrid Cloud strategies, with deep technical knowledge of Servers, Storage, Virtualization, and Software-Defined Networking (SDN).
- Mandatory - NORA Framework: Deep knowledge of the NORA framework, specifically the TechnologyReference Model (TRM).
- Saudi Market Experience: Proven track record of successfully delivered projects in Saudi Arabia, demonstrating experience with local vendors, connectivity providers, and hosting zones.
- Saudi Digital Ecosystem: In-depth knowledge of the Kingdom's digital regulations, including NCA (National Cybersecurity Authority) controls (ECC/CCC), NDMO data residency standards, and CST cloud computing regulations.
- Technical Implementation: Proficiency in managing Data Center migrations, implementing localized Cloud solutions (e.g., Oracle Cloud Riyadh/Jeddah, Alibaba Cloud SA), and designing resilient network architectures.
- Consulting & Strategy: Experience in consulting with stakeholders to translate business needs into robust technical specifications (compute, network, storage) that meet local compliance standards.
- Operational Excellence: Ability to lead technical teams in ensuring seamless operation across on-premise and cloud environments, focusing on uptime, latency optimization, and security.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field; certifications such as CCIE, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or TOGAF are highly advantageous.
