Ensure executing optimized telecommunication engineering system for rail projects fully integrated and
complying with industry standards and contractual obligations.
1. Supervise and review project bid specifications, Customer Requirements (RFP), performance
standards and technical studies and provide technical feedback to improve performance.
2. Coordinate and supervise all activities of telecom system design to ensure alignment with client
requirements, industry standards, and quality regulations.
3. Create detailed technical documentation for engineering design activities, including CAD drawing
review and development and present progress reports to direct managers and all relevant
stakeholders
4. Manage various systems, including Fiber Optics, Multiservice Network, Radio Communication
System (GSM-R & LTE), CCTV, Telephone, Time Distribution, Public Address, Passenger Information
System, and Recording System to ensure optimized operation.
5. Troubleshoot any issues identified during the design process and provide technical support to
resolve problems and enhance system performance.
6. Collaborate with construction and interface teams to ensure that telecom system design, technical
documents, drawings and proposals are developed correctly and according to client requirements.
7. Lead the team, provide required guidance and support, and foster a collaborative and high-performance
working environment.
8. Review Telecom submissions (e.g., Design and Installation drawings, planning documentation,
Inspection, Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), Site Acceptance Test (SAT), procedures and reports)
provided by the contractor and provide technical feedback to improve performance.
9. Develop and implement rigorous quality processes to ensure that all project designs and
implementations comply with relevant codes and industry specific standards of performance.
10. Ensure that the deliverables from the Contractor meet project requirements, specifications, and
the intended Design.
11. Adhere to safety and security standards, ensuring that telecom designs support cybersecurity
requirements and transportation safety protocols.
12. Conduct site surveys and assessments to oversee the installations progress, witness factory/site
tests and identify any vulnerabilities.
13. Conduct comprehensive assessments to highlight critical issues, identify any technical challenges
and all the risks related to design compliance, project execution, quality assurance and budget.
14. Prepare and present technical and project progress reports highlighting project milestones and
compliance with timelines to senior management and stakeholders.
15. Provide technical support and consultation to the client to ensure timely and accurate project
completion.
16. Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and complying with
project specifications.
17. Pursue new technologies and methods to include innovative solutions into design practices that
improve system performance and maintain competitiveness.
18. Ensure that employee is working according to the company HSE policies and regulations, and fully
aware of his job risk assessment and environmental aspects.
Education/ Qualifications B.SC in Electrical Communication Engineering
Professional Certification ICT: CCNA – RCDD or equivalent
Work Experience: 7-10 Years of Experience in design and implementation of Telecom
systems (ICT/ELV) in rail projects.
- Broad knowledge of ICT, Network, Storage and Security Systems
- In depth experience in ELV and Industrial Automation Systems
Language Excellent command of English language
