- Real time information for stakeholders to provide services
Roles & responsibilities
The TEST Engineer Manager is responsible for defining, documenting, and delivering test solutions for complex projects in Egypt. The role requires understanding customer and system requirements and providing technical support related to Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) systems. Working alongside the System Engineering Manager and the Head of Engineering, the TEST Engineer Manager oversees all test activities to ensure they meet scope, budget, and schedule expectations. The position requires strong knowledge of weboriented architectures, including web and mobile applications, and is based at the Hitachi office in Cairo.
The TEST Manager responsibilities are as follows, he/she must:
- Defines for the concerned level (solution or solution element) the TEST strategy.
- Tailors the TEST environment (process, practices and tools) including both for factory and site according to Country/Company requirements
- Lead a team in performing all engineering test activities;
- Coordinates TEST activities, establishes priorities and integration logical diagrams, conducts tests in factory and on site, supports acceptance as well as commissioning, analyses results and transmits them to development teams.
- Defines TEST scenarios and guaranties their implementation.
- Defines/writes the TEST Test Plan, Test procedures and Test results documents.
- Manage tracability of test procedure with the Engineering specification through POLARION
- Ensures the key people appointed on the Project are properly skilled;
- Manage the test Platform
- Define and solve problems in a persistent and systematic fashion, and be hands-on with troubleshooting exercises when required;
- Tracks competitiveness KPI, performs root cause analysis of problems and conduct associated corrective actions (Performance initiatives) at their level.
- Lead and assist the customer in the process of FAT and SAT.
- Responsible to define, capture the deployment plan and manage the presentation to the customer.
- Manages people effectively, including participation in the professional development of technical employees in line with the business strategy;
Work experience & qualification requirements
- A bachelor's level degree in a computer science or relevant field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience and 5 years experience of management of an TEST team
- Experience in complex System Integration with third party component
- Experience in Deployment of complex and critical System
- You have skills in: Agile Methodology / SCRUM / JAVA/Spring REACT / C++ Embedded System / Object Oriented programming / Micro Services Concept / RabbitMQ / OS Windows / Linux Ubunto / Experience in technology Web and SQL / Microsoft office (Word, VISIO, Excel, MS Project)
- Tool's practice like DOORS, POLARION or REQTIFY
- Tool's practice like TFS or JIRA
- Fluent in English. French is a nice to have.
