Role Purpose
To support Vodafone's key strategic growth areas in Testing Function which requires a highly capable and experienced SMEs for specialized domains as Digital, IoT and Cloud Transformation.
Testing Specialist will provide a primary role for guiding and coaching the organization to implement best testing practices. This includes defining organization KPIs and Development plans for different practices as Automation, L&P, Usability and Security practices.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
- Participates as a member of Testing team as well as lead Testing Teams on test program levels
- Interacts with TSSE project teams and clients to gain an understanding of the business environment, technical context, and testing objectives for a project as a basis for determining testing requirements
- Plans and executes the analysis of the testing requirements of a project in order to develop a Testing Strategy
- Understands and recommends the use of the appropriate automated testing tools
- Defines the metrics to be collected to monitor the performance and effectiveness of testing for a project
- Responsible for the provision of guidance, relating to testing activities for a project, to project teams and clients
- Communicates with all stakeholders for a project to assist in managing testing issues and risks
- Develops and presents testing proposals to internal and external clients
- Identifies and recommends improvements to methods and standards for a project through an assessment of current testing practices, and supports implementation of recommended improvements
- Proactively identifies and proposes improvements to TSSE testing practices
- Stays current on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies
- Supports knowledge management and collaboration through participation in testing discussions, leading communities and improving testing collateral through lessons learned
- Manage multiple testing projects
- Responsible on the KPIs monitor and control by planning the appropriate corrective actions
- Track team utilization and productivity
- Manage projects budget from (costs and revenue)
- Comply to the TMMi L3 processes and attending the interviews with the assessors
- Deliver the projects on time and within estimated effort and budget
- Cross Knowledge transfer within the program teams
- New Comers on-boarding and Orientation
- Work on resources utilization within the program to build core and flex model per project to support any extra activities within the program
- Provide the technical Go/No Go decisions on the projects
- Deliver the efficiency Targets
- Accountable on the overall quality of the deliverables
- Follow up on PO issuing till closure
- Propose improvements to test procedures
Core Competencies, Knowledge And Experience
- 8-10 Years working in Testing
- Very good understanding of theories and procedures about Software Testing
- Working experience with web-based applications technology
- Basic knowledge of database administration
- Working experience in dealing with industry test management tools
- Experience in any of the following test management tools is a must
- HP ALM
- IBM Rational Test Manager/Quality Manager
- Experience in any of the following functional test automation tools is a must:
- HP UFT
- IBM Rational Functional Tester
- Experience in any of the following performance testing tools is a must:
- HP Performance Center
- IBM Rational Performance Tester
- Experience in any of the following security testing tools is preferable:
- ALM Security Center
- IBM Rational AppScan
Must Have Technical / Professional Qualifications
- TMMI good knowledge
- PMP is a plus
- ISEB/ISTQB test manager Certificate is a must
- ISEB/ISTQB Test Analyst Certificate in Software Testing is a must
- ISEB/ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing is a must
- Mastering Agile testing and certified
- Mastering AlM
