Job Summary

The Total Rewards Section Head is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the organization's compensation and benefits strategy. The role ensures competitive and equitable reward programs through effective salary structure design, job evaluation, market benchmarking, and management of bonus, incentives, and annual salary review processes. The position plays a key role in aligning total rewards practices with business objectives while maintaining internal equity and external competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities

1. Compensation Strategy & Salary Structure

  • Design, develop, and maintain the company's salary structure, grading system, and compensation framework.
  • Ensure internal equity and alignment with the organization's compensation strategy.
  • Periodically review and update salary scales based on market trends and business needs.

2. Job Evaluation & Job Grading

  • Conduct job evaluations using recognized methodologies.
  • Review and update job descriptions to ensure accurate job grading and role alignment.
  • Maintain a standardized job evaluation framework across the organization.

3. Salary Benchmarking & Market Analysis

  • Conduct regular salary benchmarking against market data and industry standards.
  • Analyze compensation trends and recommend adjustments to maintain competitiveness.
  • Participate in compensation surveys and interpret benchmarking reports.

4. Bonus & Incentive Programs

  • Design and manage performance-based bonus and incentive schemes.
  • Ensure alignment between incentive programs and organizational performance objectives.
  • Monitor program effectiveness and recommend improvements.

5. Annual Salary Review

  • Lead and manage the annual salary review and merit increase cycle.
  • Analyze performance ratings, budget allocations, and market positioning.
  • Provide recommendations for salary adjustments and promotions.

6. Benefits Management

  • Oversee and manage employee benefits programs including medical insurance, allowances, and other benefits.
  • Evaluate benefits competitiveness and recommend enhancements when necessary.

7. Reporting & HR Analytics

  • Prepare compensation and benefits reports, dashboards, and analysis for senior management.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic HR and business decisions.

8. Policies & Compliance

  • Develop, update, and implement compensation and benefits policies.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and best HR practices.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications in Compensation & Benefits or HR (preferred).

Experience

  • 812 years of HR experience with at least 35 years specializing in Compensation & Benefits / Total Rewards.
  • Proven hands-on experience in salary structure design, job evaluation, and salary benchmarking.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Advanced Excel and HR analytics capabilities.
  • Experience with job evaluation methodologies such as Hay, Mercer, Korn Ferry, or similar frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of compensation surveys and market benchmarking.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
