Job Description

Trade Finance Operations Officer

Department: Operations

Location: Dubai

Reporting: To Head of Operations

This role is responsible for handling the day-to-day trade finance operations for the group's trade credit services business. The person will issue all transactional documentation, including commercial contracts and invoices, and draft letters of credit.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Issue all transactional documentation, including commercial contracts, invoices, and drafts of letters of credit.
  • Manage the settlement process for transactions, including presenting documents, discounting letters of credit, and making payments to customers.
  • All necessary coordination with clients, banks and other team members, including sales, accounting, legal and compliance.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in trade finance operations in banks, financial institutions or trading companies.
  • Full understanding of UCP 600, Letters of credit, Guarantees, Promissory notes, Bills of Exchange and trade-related receivables.
  • Knowledge of cross-border trading and transaction processes.

  • Ability to think outside the box and to challenge the norm.

  • Attention to detail.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree from a reputable university preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • English (mandatory).
  • French and/or Turkish (preferred).
