Trading Manager

Role Overview

Here O is seeking an experienced Trading Manager to man its desk in Dubai. This role sits at the centre of our international trading activity, acting as the commercial link between Here O's UK team and our Dubai-based office.

The role is highly commercial and execution-focused. It is suited to someone with existing connections who understands wholesale trading in retail orientated goods, logistics-led deal flow and relationship-based selling across GCC, Africa and adjacent markets.

Key Purpose of the Role

The Trading Manager will: - Represent Here O on the ground in Dubai - Execute and manage deals sourced by Here O with the Dubai office - Coordinate closely with the UK trading team on pricing, stock movement and buying strategy - Build and maintain strong working relationships with Dubai-based traders, logistics providers and buyers.

The role is not administrative. It is a front-line trading position with direct impact on deal profitability.

Key Responsibilities

1.Deal Execution & Trading

Manage live deals originating from Here O that are offered through Dubai, and vice versa

Liaise with Dubai-based partners on warehousing, handling, consolidation and re-export

Support pricing discussions and buyer negotiations in line with agreed parameters

Ensure deals are executed efficiently, commercially and in line with agreed profit-share structures

2.UK Dubai Liaison

Act as the day-to-day link between Here O UK and the Dubai operation

Provide real-time feedback on buyer appetite, pricing levels and market conditions

Coordinate timing of stock arrivals, releases and onward shipment

Ensure alignment between UK sourcing decisions and Dubai execution capability

3. Buyer & Partner Relationships

Support and develop relationships with regional buyers of retail orientated merchandise and FMCG across GCC, Africa and nearby markets

Host buyers at the Dubai office or warehouse where appropriate

Work closely with the collaborative partner's team to ensure smooth operations

Build credibility for Here O as a trusted, long-term trading partner

4.Cost Control & Deal Economics

Track all deal-specific costs including freight, duties, warehousing, repacking and commissions

Ensure transparent cost capture before profit calculations

Flag margin risk early and escalate issues promptly

Work with UK finance/admin teams to ensure accurate deal reporting

5.Operational Oversight

Oversee stock held in Dubai on behalf of Here O

Ensure stock is handled, stored and moved in line with agreed instructions

Coordinate inspections, relabelling or repacking where required

Support compliance requirements relevant to destination markets

Authority & Decision-Making

Operate within agreed pricing and margin parameters

Escalate pricing exceptions or non-standard terms to Here O

No authority to extend credit without prior approval

Authority to progress deals operationally once commercial terms are agreed

Candidate Profile

Essential Experience

Proven background in wholesale trading, distribution or international trade

Existing connections in the market

Experience working with warehouses, freight forwarders and logistics providers

Strong understanding of deal-based trading and margin management

Comfortable operating in fast-moving, relationship-led environments

Desirable Experience

Experience trading into GCC, Africa or emerging markets

Prior exposure to clearance, surplus or secondary-market stock

Experience working in or with Dubai-based trading operations

Reporting Line

Reports directly to senior management at Here O

Location & Working Pattern

Based in Dubai

UK and other international travel as required

Remuneration (Indicative)

Competitive base salary (market-aligned for Dubai)

Performance-based bonus linked to deal volume and margin

Potential upside through commission or profit participation (subject to agreement)

Summary

This role is central to Here O's international growth strategy. It offers significant responsibility, exposure to global trading activity and the opportunity to play a key role in building a scalable Dubai platform.

The ideal candidate will be commercially sharp, operationally strong and comfortable acting as the bridge between UK / EU deal sourcing and Dubai-based sales with a reverse role, Dubai deal sourcing for UK / EU sales.
