Objective
The HSE Transport Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effective implementation of safety measures and fostering a culture of safety, security and environmental responsibility within ASMO.
General Responsibilities
- Develop and administer transport claims management policies and procedures in line with insurance and regulatory requirements.
- Manage cargo claims arising from Control Towerexecuted shipments, including receipt, review, and processing.
- Investigate claims to determine root causes and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Review, approve, settle, or deny complex claims in accordance with established procedures.
- Track and report claims performance trends for carriers and customers to support accountability and improvement.
- Support claims coverage across areas such as property & casualty, general liability, product liability, and organizational liability
- Prepare structured internal, external, and regulatory reporting related to claims and risk exposure.
- Assess risk likelihood and evaluate financial and operational impacts of potential incidents.
- Coordinate with internal and external audit functions to ensure compliance and transparency.
- Collaborate with management on contractual matters related to claims and liability provisions.
- Assist in developing underwriting and claims administration frameworks and supporting systems.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of claims processes to strengthen risk control and operational resilience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, or equivalent from a recognized and accredited university is required.
- OSH (certified Safety from Saudi Labor), NEBOSH (National Examination Board of Occupational Safety and Health) IOSH / OSHA Certification, or relevant certification, is preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written English.
- 5 years experience in similar or related field.
- Proven experience in HSE Supply Chain / Logistics/Transport.
