A leading destination transport operation in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Transportation Supervisor to oversee and control all transport activities during assigned shift schedules.
This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of bus operations, airport transfers, point-to-point services, and city tours while maintaining full compliance, fleet readiness, and service quality. The Transportation Supervisor provides real-time operational leadership and manages on-the-ground staff, including Transport Executives, contracted drivers, and freelance manpower.
Key Responsibilities
Operational & Shift Leadership
- Lead end-to-end transport operations during assigned shifts
- Ensure fleet readiness,s including cleanliness, branding, equipment checks, and safety compliance
- Verify driver attendance and manage shift deployment and replacements
- Monitor live routes using tracking systems and intervene when required
- Conduct pre- and post-shift briefings
Staff & Freelance Oversight
- Manage the deployment of drivers and operational manpower
- Validate licenses, permits, and documentation
- Provide coaching, corrective guidance, and performance feedback
- Support onboarding and route familiarisation
Compliance & Safety
- Enforce ITC, RTA, HSE, Airport, and internal regulations
- Conduct inspections of vehicles and operational areas
- Ensure proper incident logging and reporting
- Support investigations and corrective actions
Guest & Stakeholder Coordination
- Ensure seamless guest mobility across all routes
- Communicate operational changes to hotels and partners
- Support guest issue resolution and service recovery
- Coordinate with parks, hotels, airport teams, and suppliers
Incident Management
- Lead on-site management during breakdowns, accidents, or disruptions
- Coordinate emergency services and internal HSE
- Prepare detailed incident reports
Reporting & Documentation
- Produce shift reports covering KPIs, incidents, delays, and staffing
- Maintain logs, checklists, and compliance records
- Ensure structured handover between AM and PM shifts
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Logistics, or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience in transport operations, fleet management, or logistics
- Strong operational leadership and real-time decision-making capability
- Experience with dispatch or route monitoring systems
- Knowledge of UAE transport regulations
- Strong communication and manpower supervision skills
- Proficient in MS Office
- Safety or incident response training is an advantage
