Our client, a growing and dynamic travel services provider supporting international freelancers for large-scale global events, is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Travel Agency Branch Manager.
This is a leadership role for someone who has independently managed a travel agency branch and can demonstrate both operational command and tangible business growth. The successful candidate will take full ownership of branch performance, supplier networks, revenue generation, systems oversight, and P&L accountability.
Role Overview
The Branch Manager will oversee end-to-end travel operations while actively driving business development and financial performance. This role requires a hands-on leader who understands international travel logistics, supplier sourcing, client relationship management, team leadership, and operational systems management.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Leadership
- Oversee daily branch operations, ensuring seamless execution of international travel logistics.
- Lead and guide the Operations Supervisor and team (ticketing agents, ground handling agents, operations executives).
- Ensure compliance with internal SOPs and local travel regulations.
- Drive operational efficiency and service excellence across key accounts.
- Optimize processes for scalability and performance.
- Oversee effective utilization of travel technology, GDS platforms, and ERP systems to ensure data accuracy, reporting visibility, and operational control.
Supplier & Market Network Development
- Leverage and expand an established sourcing pipeline across:
- Hotels
- Airlines
- Transportation providers
- Negotiate competitive commercial agreements to improve margins.
- Continuously strengthen vendor partnerships and market reach.
Growth & Business Development
- Actively generate new business and expand existing accounts.
- Identify and secure new client opportunities.
- Scale core products and introduce new travel solutions aligned with market demand.
- Support strategic revenue growth initiatives.
Financial Ownership & Accountability
- Take full ownership of branch P&L performance.
- Monitor budgets, margins, and profitability.
- Oversee invoicing accuracy and ensure timely collections.
- Work closely with Finance to ensure transparent reporting and reconciliations.
- Track sales performance and revenue forecasts.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team.
- Conduct performance reviews and implement development plans.
- Foster a results-driven and accountable work culture.
- Organize regular product and systems training initiatives.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Travel Operations Expertise
- 4-6+ years of experience within the travel industry.
- Minimum 2 years independently managing a travel agency or branch
- Strong command of travel systems, operational procedures, and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in GDS platforms (Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre) and experience working with ERP or integrated travel management systems.
Business Development Capability
- Proven ability to generate and grow revenue.
