Project Description:
A leading bank in the UAE is seeking Murex Consultants to support its Treasury transformation program.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and functional expertise to implement, configure, and support Murex solutions within a treasury environment.
- Manage Murex environments, including EOD processes and related infrastructure across multiple production and non-production environments.
- Build and configure Murex environments from scratch and maintain strong understanding of Murex architecture, database, and data model.
- Design, configure, and maintain processing scripts, feeders, and stored procedures across various modules, and troubleshoot related issues.
- Develop and execute SQL and Unix shell scripts (bash, Perl/Python/Ant where applicable) for support and automation.
- Debug and resolve EOD issues, including analysis of EOD scripts and batch failures.
- Support Pre-Core, Core, Accounting, VAR, CVA, and MLC batch processes.
- Assist service delivery teams in designing and implementing new batches based on business requirements.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize EOD performance and overall system stability.
- Participate in technical reviews and provide support to development teams.
Mandatory Skills & Experience:
- 10–12 years of overall experience, including 7+ years in Murex environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Murex 3.1 platform.
- Deep understanding of Murex EOD architecture, key services, batch processing, and end-to-end workflows.
- Strong experience in Murex environment management, including logs, artifacts, and infrastructure setup.
- Proven experience working with multiple asset classes: Credit Derivatives, Interest Rate Derivatives, Equity Derivatives, Fixed Income, FX Cash, FX Derivatives, Commodities, Structured Derivatives, and Exotics.
- Expertise in troubleshooting feeder exceptions, batch failures, system crashes, and performance issues.
- Strong knowledge of scheduling tools such as Control-M and Autosys.
- Solid understanding of Linux (RHEL) scripting and debugging (bash, Python, Perl).
- Strong SQL knowledge, including query tuning, indexing, and execution plans.
- Experience in Murex interfaces and environment management, preferably including upgrade projects.
- Cloud experience is a strong advantage.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Murex workflows and reporting modules.
