Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Underwriter at AKTI located in Doha, Qatar. The Underwriter will be responsible for evaluating and assessing risks to determine coverage and premiums for insurance policies. The role involves analyzing data, conducting risk assessments, and making underwriting decisions to protect the company's financial interests.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of insurance principles and regulations
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
- Relevant certifications such as Associate in Commercial Underwriting (AU) or Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) are a plus
