UV Printing Operator

Job Summary
Xpres Gifts Preparing Co. is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented UV Printing Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating UV flatbed printing machines to produce high-quality prints on wood, PU leather, acrylic, packaging components, and a wide range of customized gift items.
Key ResponsibilitiesUV Printing Operations
- Set up, operate, and monitor UV flatbed printing machine for various materials including:
- Wood
- MDF
- PU leather
- Acrylic
- Gift boxes & packaging components
- Custom promotional items
- Prepare artwork for printing using related software (alignment, scaling, layering, ICC profiles).
- Calibrate machine settings for accurate.
- Color reproduction
- Print alignment
- White ink layering
- Varnish and gloss finishing
- Embossed or 3D UV effects
- Ensure high-quality print results that meet our branding standards for clarity, precision, and durability.
Maintenance & Quality Control
- Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of print heads, UV lamps, and ink systems.
- Conduct nozzle checks and troubleshoot printing issues quickly.
- Inspect all printed items for quality consistency, accurate color, and correct positioning.
- Maintain detailed records of print jobs, ink usage, and machine performance.
Production Support
- Work closely with our design and production teams to execute custom printing requests.
- Support sample production, prototypes, and urgent related projects.
- Assist in basic finishing tasks such as cleaning surfaces, applying coatings, or preparing items pre/post-print.
- Manage material inventory and report low stock levels or issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating UV flatbed printers is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge in design software.
- Experience printing on wood, leather, acrylic, and textured materials.
- Understanding of color management, white ink layering, varnish/spot UV, and multi-pass printing settings.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to premium-quality outputs.
- Ability to troubleshoot print defects (banding, misalignment, color shift, nozzle blockages).
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in UV printing, signage, packaging, or corporate gifts manufacturing.
- Experience producing textured, embossed, or 3D UV effects.
- Familiarity with assembling gift boxes or other finishing processes.
Work Environment
- Factory/production workshop environment.
- Standing for long periods and manually handling materials.
- Occasional overtime may be required during urgent project deadlines.
